Preventing Urinary Tract Infections is easier than you think. Here are a few things you can do to avoid developing a UTI.
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water, aiming for about six to eight glasses daily. This will dilute your urine and reduce bacteria.
Urinate often: When you have to go, go. It’s advised to not hold your urine for long periods of time. Urine that is stagnant in the bladder is prone to growing bacteria.
Urinate and rinse after intercourse: Doing this flushes out any bacteria that might’ve been introduced during intercourse.
Wipe from front to back: This is probably one of the most well-known ways to avoid UTIs, but in case you didn’t know, this is the best way to avoid introducing bacteria to the urinary tract.
